Segment Synopsis: Rolfe enjoys quilting, and her family and friends enjoy receiving quilts. Grandchildren are happy to have something made by their grandmother. Quilts reflect community through charity. Rolfe describes thinking of quiltmaking was a dying art, but she was excited to see the activity generated by quilt shows and the International Quilt Show in Chicago. Describes quilts related to the Underground Railroad and as part of history in Battle Creek. Explains how church group gives quilts to members in nursing homes, and hosts "baby shower" to give away quilts. Believes that quilts can be preserved for future through proper care by refolding and airing.
